I think, this is mostly self-education topic, because not many people like to be told what to do, especially while dining.
I also don’t think it’s a good idea for a present, unless the recipient have asked for it, or expressed an interest in the subject.
The book on etiquette might be considered for someone who is going to live in another counry, so the person knows a little about foreign customs.
