A graffiti artist, famous for his invisibility in person and a very visible art profile on the walls of London, has done it again: attracted attention to his painting. Banksy’s graffiti, which is protected by a few city organizations, got painted over with a white paint. While those involved were deciding how to get it back, the graffiti mysteriously reappeared on the wall.
The painted chambermaid is back sweeping the painted dust at the foot of the real wall, keeping it spotless…
According to the article in “Times OnLine”, it’s a known fact that the graffiti was painted over by a rival graffiti artist, but then nobody knows how it got back.

It’s really interesting: when something strange or dangerous happens with somebody famous, nobody seems to knows anything. Not when, not how, not why and not by who… The case stays unsolved to add yet one more mystery to a gallery of “shocking accidents”, while rumors, untrustworthy witnesses and closest friends are arguing the methods and the speed of the investigation of the act.

At about the same time there was an auction in NY, where
“A work by London street artist Banksy, showing a woman sweeping dust under a spotted Hirst canvas, set a record for Banksy when it took $1.7 million before fees. The work, titled “Keep It Spotless” and also identified as “(Banksy Defaced Hirst),” had been valued at no more than $350,000.”
All this information, as well, as more updates on other art sales, where “Hirst’s cabinet, titled “Where There’s a Will There’s a Way,” brought in more than a sixth of the proceeds at the so- called (Red) auction at Sotheby’s, which raised $38.7 million for HIV/AIDS treatment in Africa, beating its top estimate of $29 million” you may find at: Bloomberg.com.
