I’ve stopped drinking coffee a few years ago (please, read to the end) and decided to myself, that I am too fussy, otherwise I would find a coffee I like, as just about everyone else I know. I used to buy and drink it at work in the morning, but really haven’t notice it waking me up. Besides, I really dont’t enjoy drinking a watery substance, which smells like coffee. I had no problems switching to tea, found the flavors I liked, (the stronger the brew, the better) and started enjoying the taste and the effect the tea had on me.
One day, I’ve visited a friend, and discovered a different kind of coffee: thick, bold, and mellow, and with a wonderful aroma and foam on top. It came from the $500 (or so) aggregate. From then on, I’ve continued drinking my tea, but remarking once in a while on my coffee memories. A few years have passed, when I’ve enjoyed an occasional cup of coffee, and then on my birthday my husband presented me with a coffee maker of this stature.
I drink coffee more often now, just to enjoy the taste. No filter changing, just an occasional decalcifying, an automatic grind, (a little noisy, but just for a minute, when it grinds beans). I don’t make cappuccino or anything else with it (tends to get too messy). I use a simple, hand held, battery powered frother for a bit of milk, and it works just fine for me. I’ve also discovered, that the Italian Roast coffee beans are seriously underappreciated.
All of the above expressed, I’d like to say, that if you are a habitual coffee drinker, drink a few coffee cups a day and can splurge on the similar coffee machine (which amounts to $1.5 per cup of bought coffee x 365days = $547) your days would get much brighter.
This is the kind, which sells for $449.99
Espresso Machine at www.Amazon.com
And here is a frother: - $13.99
Frother at www.amazon.com
Read the comments on frother. Make your regular drip machine coffee taste superb with this little, but very useful gadget.
And don’t get me wrong, I still love my tea, but I’ll talk about it in another post.
