Some time ago I was researching bracelets. Not exactly a jewelry type, but the type, which is more useful on vacation, like having a pocket on a band and also looking good enough to be worn with a dressier clothes. I found a few patents for bracelets, where all of them were described as a tubular form of any material, having a closure of any type and at least one pocket, made of a water absorbent material and basically good and comfortable for exercising. Since nothing special came up, I’ve dropped the search.
Yesterday I got my January issue of “Bazaar” magazine and saw there an incarnation of the bracelet I was looking for. Only in a very unusual form.
There was a photo of Lindsay Lohan walking on the street, wearing shorts and sporting her alcohol monitor bracelet near the ankle. Right next to it was a photo of a women’s foot, shod in a beautiful silver-colored shoe, and worn over an ankle, attached to a leather bracelet, a little square purse made of a black patented leather. In an instantly recognizable Chanel style, the purse is small enough to contain a key, a credit card and a few bills.

In my quest for the information about this new trend, I found many fashion blogs, covering this tiny purses, which come in different colors, even in polka dots and sometimes called “an ankle wallet”. It’s an item featured in Chanel’s Spring Collection.I think, very soon, we’ll see many similar tiny purses offered by other brands.
